An Evening at Downton Abbey!spt

Many are sad that the Downton Abbey series on PBS is ending! Chamber music ensembles, such as our trio, performed often in the parlors of homes like Downton Abbey. During the late Edwardian era the series portrays, there was much rich, romantic music composed in London, by composers such as William Hurlstone (1976-1906), a pianist, composer and teacher at the Royal Academy of Music in London. His composition style reflected his love of Brahms and Schubert; we’ll perform his trio in G. Also popular at the time, composer Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958), wrote beautiful songs that will be sung by our tenor, Don O’Neal LeBlanc, and soprano Judith Rodriguez. Concert performers: Pianist Heejung Kang, violinist LeeAnne Chenoweth, cellist Karen Maddox Smith, Post-concert pianist/vocalist Steve Stroud will take your requests from jazz to favorites for dancing . Complimentary fruit/cheese/desserts. Cash bar.

*$35 combo ticket prize: Photography sitting with Dennis Hevia Photography (817-291-5152) and one framed 20x24 portrait of family, individual or pets, OR 2 free tickets to any upcoming concert.
