Art Therapy Workshops by Heidi Tournoux Studios

Looking for a safe space to explore unique art-making techniques that can be used to enhance your communication and relationships, as well as foster a sense of positive self-care? Offered monthly, these three-hour workshops use the tenants of art therapy and are geared toward the individual that is seeking new ways to bring understanding to themselves, and how we relate to others in our lives. Our workshop leader, Heidi Tournoux-Hanshaw, has worked diligently since 2005 serving the north Texas community as a board-certified registered art therapist and licensed professional counselor supervisor, providing art therapy to individuals, groups and families, as well as supervising up-and-coming art therapists and professional therapists around the metroplex. Recognizing that art therapy is an amazing tool for anyone, Heidi is offering a different arts-based workshop each month to tap into our ability to process through life and use art to express emotions.

While these activities are geared toward adult participants that are eager to do some great work with other great creative people, you do not have to need therapy to participate, nor do you have to be an artist. We will be exploring and playing with art materials in a safe, non-judgmental space. As an added bonus, you will learn so much in this workshop that mental health practitioners in Texas can earn CEUs for their time spent in the group, and will be able to use these art experiences with their own clients in practice!
