Fun With Mixed Media (2-Day Workshop)
In this class, we’ll dive into the exciting world of mixed media painting, where we can truly unleash our creativity and find our unique expressions. It promises to be a delightful and experimental experience! We’ll have a variety of painting supplies provided, so we can explore endless ideas to craft a cohesive piece of art together. We’ll use different types of paper to achieve various effects, and our materials will include pastels, crayons, watercolors, dyes, inks, acrylic paints, and even some household items like plastic wrap and wax paper.
On Day 1, we’ll kick off with an introduction to mixed media techniques to start our painting journey. Each student will have the opportunity to paint with personalized guidance along the way. We’ll also allow some drying time for our beautiful creations.
On Day 2, we’ll focus on adding the finishing touches to our now-dry paintings using dry media. We’ll refine our artworks, paying special attention to our focal points and design elements. At the end, we’ll have a brief, matted showcase of each of our paintings to see how well we met our goals. And if anyone wants feedback, we can definitely share our thoughts with each other as fellow artists!
