Season 87: The Family Fruitcake
Laurie McKinnon is determined that everyone should have a normal Christmas, especially while the eldest son is away serving in the military. She rushes about making sure everything is ready for the impending arrival of the extended family, although her husband, Jim, and teenage daughter, Kelsey, are unconvinced of the need to impress everyone. Meanwhile, youngest daughter Emma arrives downstairs in full camouflage makeup. Her mother is less than enthused. Visitors soon trickle in. Laurie’s very pregnant sister with her husband, who gets lost easily; Jim’s brother, his worrisome wife and 6 children, and even the neighbor children arrive to add to the day. Best of all is Aunt Bev, who needs no prompting to spin the tale of the Swenson fruitcake. The fruitcake was made some 20 years ago, and has never been eaten. It has become a family tradition to keep it in the pantry until Christmas, when it earns a place on the table only to be put away for the next year. The afternoon brings arguments, tears, joy, and reconciliations, some long overdue. But no matter what, it will always be a regular McKinnon Christmas— just as long as they have the fruitcake. And nothing could go wrong with that…could it?

Please arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to curtain. On all performances, we release unclaimed tickets 15 minutes prior to curtain and cannot guarantee a seat after that point.
As a general rule, all ticket charges are non-refundables. Tickets are exchangeable for a future show of an equal or lesser ticket price within the same show/season ONLY if you notify us by phone or in person at least 24 hours in advance of the show date. After that, ticket charges may not be exchangeable. Exceptions may be made in the event of an emergency and if there are available seats on a different date. IF ANY GUESTS DO NOT SHOW UP THE NIGHT OF THE SHOW, THE TICKET PRICE IS NOT REFUNDABLE OR EXCHANGEABLE FOR FUTURE SHOWS. Your online purchase serves as your reservation. You do not need to call in your reservation once your purchase is complete (you should receive an emailed receipt as confirmation). If you need special seating, have other assistance requests, or (for dinner shows) dietary considerations, please notate those needs in the “Special Instructions†at checkout.
