Timeless Concerts Box Office

France in the 20th Century

The French gave us much beautiful art, visual and musical; the paintings of Monet, Renoir, and music of Ravel, Debussy, Faure, and more. Tonight, relax to the colorful piano trio (piano, violin&cello) of Gabriel Faure. The trio was described as an almost other-worldly expression of conscious beauty, and was completed in 1923. Our young guest soprano, Sabrina Romero, will fly in from the San Francisco Conservatory, where she is majoring in opera studies. She will sing French songs of her choice. We will end the concert with music of classical jazz revivalist, Claude Bolling, born in Cannes , France in 1930, and still performing.
