Printmaking Workshop Description: During this relief printmaking workshop students will draw, carve, and print their own woodcut block. We will carve the woodcut using relief printmaking tools (u-gauges and v-gauges). We will also print a small edition, we should be able to pull 1-3 prints by hand using various types of barens. Some pre-drawn woodblocks will be available for student use for those who don't wish to draw, but students are encouraged to bring a sketch. All skill levels welcome! There will be a 30-minute lunch break- students are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Materials and tools will be provided.
