Jamie is given the gift of a stuffed velveteen rabbit at Christmas. The rabbit joins a crowded toy box, full of lively characters with plenty to say about life in the nursery. Over time, the Velveteen Rabbit becomes Jamie’s most cherished toy. When Jamie falls ill, it is the rabbit’s love that helps the child heal. But when sickness leaves behind germs, the rabbit must be thrown away with the bedding.
