Welcome to the Cabinet of Curiosities!

Every great musical begins with a spark of imagination.
This semester, students will unlock the doors to a whimsical Cabinet of Curiosities, where magical stories, extraordinary characters, enchanted worlds, and impossible adventures come to life through song, dance, and acting. Inspired by imaginative classics like Alice in Wonderland and other fantastical tales, each week invites performers to step into a brand-new adventure while building the skills every triple threat needs to shine.
Whether your child dreams of performing on Broadway or simply loves singing around the house, this class provides an encouraging environment where creativity, confidence, and curiosity take center stage.

What is Musical Theatre?

Musical Theatre combines three exciting performance disciplines acting, singing, and dance—into one dynamic class. Students will strengthen each of these skills while learning how they work together to tell meaningful stories on stage.

Rather than focusing on a single production throughout the semester, students will explore a variety of songs, scenes, movement styles, theatre games, and performance exercises designed to help them become well-rounded performers. Every class builds upon the last, allowing students to grow in confidence while having fun in a collaborative and supportive environment.

This class is ideal for students who love to perform, enjoy being creative, or are looking to build confidence while making new friends.

Throughout the semester, students will explore:

-Vocal technique and healthy singing habits
-Musical theatre dance and movement
-Acting through song and character development
-Storytelling through music and choreography
-Stage presence and performance confidence
-Rhythm, musicality, and coordination
-Ensemble collaboration and teamwork
-Theatre games that build creativity and imagination
-Audition etiquette and rehearsal skills
-Performance preparation and stage professionalism

More Than Just Performing

While students are learning exciting songs and choreography, they’re also developing lifelong skills that extend well beyond the stage.
Musical Theatre naturally strengthens communication, creativity, confidence, public speaking, collaboration, active listening, problem-solving, memory retention, and emotional expression. Students learn how to support one another as an ensemble while discovering the joy of creating something together.

Our instructors encourage every performer to take creative risks, celebrate progress over perfection, and discover that every voice and every story has value.

Building Toward the Showcase

Throughout our 12-week semester, students will continue refining the skills they’ve learned as they prepare selections to share during our end-of-semester showcase for family and friends during Showcase Week (November 2, day and time to be announced).

The showcase celebrates each student’s growth throughout the semester and gives performers the opportunity to share their hard work in a fun, supportive performance setting.
