Welcome to the Cabinet of Curiosities!

Every locked door hides a mystery. Every curious object has a story waiting to be told.

This semester, students will step into our whimsical Cabinet of Curiosities, where imagination leads every adventure. Inspired by fantastical worlds, curious characters, enchanted discoveries, and timeless tales like Alice in Wonderland, each class invites young actors to unlock new stories while building confidence, creativity, and theatrical skills.
Whether they’re solving mysteries, inventing unforgettable characters, or bringing magical adventures to life, students will discover that the greatest tool an actor has is their imagination.

What is Acting?

Acting is all about telling stories that connect with others. Through theatre games, improvisation, scene work, and creative exploration, students will learn how to create believable characters, communicate with confidence, and work as part of an ensemble.

This class focuses on building strong acting fundamentals in a supportive, encouraging environment where every student is invited to participate at their own comfort level while continuing to challenge themselves creatively.
Perfect for both first-time performers and returning students, Acting provides opportunities to grow on stage while developing valuable life skills that extend far beyond the theatre.

-Throughout the semester, students will explore:
-Character creation and development
-Improvisation and spontaneous storytelling
-Scene work and beginning script analysis
-Voice projection and expressive speaking
-Facial expressions and physical storytelling
-Stage movement and stage awareness
-Theatre games that build creativity and confidence
-Collaboration and ensemble performance
-Problem-solving through imaginative play
-Performance preparation and stage etiquette
More Than Just Acting....

Theatre is one of the most powerful ways children develop confidence and communication.

As students explore new characters and stories, they’ll strengthen public speaking, active listening, empathy, creative thinking, teamwork, emotional expression, and problem-solving skills. They’ll also learn how to support one another, celebrate different ideas, and build confidence by taking creative risks in a positive environment.

Every class encourages students to ask questions, think creatively, and discover that there is no limit to where their imagination can take them.

Building Toward the Showcase

Throughout our 12-week semester, students will continue developing their acting skills through scenes, games, and collaborative activities before sharing their growth during our end-of-semester showcase for family and friends during Showcase Week (November 2, day and time to be announced).

The showcase is designed to celebrate progress, creativity, and confidence while giving every student the opportunity to shine.
