Timeless Concerts Box Office

An Evening in Mexico, 1911

Mexican classical composers, such as Manuel Ponce and Carlos Chavez, are not as widely known as their European counterparts, yet their music is very beautiful, with a bit of recognizable Mexican flavor. Enjoy the piano trio of Ponce, and piano solos by Chavez. Part of the program will feature our young guest artist, Sabrina Romero, who has been accepted with scholarship into the opera departments of SMU, TCU, Boston Conservatory, and San Francisco Conservatory where she is currently studying. She will perform traditional, romantic Mexican songs. When you hear Ms. Romero, you will certainly know that she has an opera career ahead of her!

INSTRUMENTALISTS: Violinist LeeAnne Chenoweth; cellist Jim Higgins; pianist David Dubiel.

SPONSORS: WRR the Classical Station 101.1 fm, www.wrr101.com; Pianotex, www.pianotex.com; and Daily Bread Services, www.dailybreadservices.com
